Emphasis On: The Program supports anthropologists, economists, political scientists, sociologists, and all scholars in germane social science and cultural studies fields, including historians researching the period after the mid-19th century.

**** ELIGIBILITY
Level of Study: doctorate, postdoctoral
Nationality/Residency: U.S. and Canadian nationals or permanent residents.
Other Criteria: Applicants for a dissertation fellowship must be full-time graduate students who have completed all coursework required for the Ph.D. and must have achieved ABD (all but dissertation) status by the time the proposed research stay in Berlin begins.
