Purpose: Now in its twenty-fifth year, the fellowship awards a two-month residency at the American academy in Rome, including room, board, and design studio space, and an additional grant of 4,000 dollars for travel expenses. The fellowship is named for John Dinkeloo (1918-1981), longtime partner of Kevin Roche John Dinkeloo and Associates. The American Academy in Rome is one of the leading American overseas centers for independent study and advanced research in the fine arts and the humanities.
