Purpose: The Gilman International Scholarship provides awards for U.S. undergraduate students who are receiving federal Pell Grant funding at a 2-year or 4-year college or university to participate in study abroad programs worldwide.

**** FINANCIAL DATA INFORMATION
Average Amount per Award: $4,000
Award Includes: tuition, travel expenses, living expenses, housing, health insurance
**** APPLICATION INFORMATION
Deadline: Fall/Academic Year: early April; Spring: late September
Notification Date: Fall/Academic Year: early June; Spring: late November
Procedure: Students must submit an application online at http://www.iie.org/gilman.

Level of Study: undergraduate
Nationality/Residency: Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Other Criteria: The applicant must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant and be applying or accepted to a study abroad program eligible for academic credit.
